  • Digital UX/UI Designer

    We are looking for a talented UX/UI designer to join our growing multi-disciplinary design team — someone whose approach to digital design is rooted in a thorough understanding of user experience and accessibility, but who isn’t afraid to challenge the norm and use their creativity to produce innovative solutions to design problems.

    You should come with at least 3 years experience designing successful websites at top agencies, be comfortable in front of clients and be able to work productively with our digital design director and senior design team. An outstanding portfolio of projects with a variety of clients is a must.

    A high level of creativity is imperative. You should have a good understanding of digital design processes, be comfortable taking client briefs and turning them into detailed wireframes before generating high quality design concepts, and you should understand both the restrictions and capabilities of the modern web.

    Main activities and responsibilities:

    • Create brand-led digital designs for a variety of national clients
    • Design innovative user experiences across a number of applications
    • Collaborate with the wider design team to design stand-out brand identities
    • Contribute to our reputation and help drive the quality of our work
    • Originate strong creative ideas time and time again
    • Partner with the wider team to create digital brand experiences like no other
    • Create pattern libraries for use across platforms
    • Work closely with our creative development team to produce award winning websites, games and applications

    Required skills and experience:

    • 3 + years experience at top agencies designing award winning websites and applications
    • Good knowledge of UX and accessibility standards
    • An outstanding portfolio demonstrating fantastic design skills
    • Very high attention to detail
    • Good communication and organisational skills
    • Good knowledge of the capabilities of the web and mobile technology and ability to design cross-platform
    • Ability to use initiative and work under pressure to achieve tight deadlines
    • Active interest in the development of the industry and ability to keep up to date with new technology
    • Strong desire to develop and grow and ability to help educate creatives in other disciplines
    • Proficient in the Adobe Suite and/or Sketch
    • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred but not required

    • 5+ years experience at creative agencies, working on brand identity and integrated campaigns for large and small brands.

    On top of formidable design credentials, this creative leader will be responsible for co-managing and inspiring a small team. You’ll oversee output including brand identities, communications and integrated content programmes.
