  • Brand Designer

    Purpose of the role:
    We’re looking for a Brand Designer to join our team — someone with a curious mind, a passion for what the future of brand, digital and content holds, and a strong creative edge. Armed with at least 3 years’ experience at top agencies, you will inspire colleagues and clients, and be at ease talking with people at all levels about your work.

    The role demands a natural enthusiasm for storytelling, the ability to produce relevant ideas and an understanding of how things can be done in an integrated way. An outstanding portfolio of projects with a variety of clients is a must.

    Main activities and responsibilities:

    • Work on brand identities, on and offline brand roll-out, campaigns and integrated content programs.
    • Understand, embrace and pursue Thompson’s vision and goals.
    • Help implement the vision of the agency, contributing to our reputation and driving the quality of the work being produced.
    • Originate strong creative ideas time and time again.
    • Work with the Creative Director and Senior designers across all platforms, including design, brand, digital, print, packaging, film, social and environmental.
    • Collaborate with the wider design team to realise unique creative ideas.
    • Mentor Junior Designers and interns.
    • Partner with design and client service colleagues to grow accounts with bold ideas that have lasting impact.

    Required skills and experience:

    • Experienced at a broad range of design disciplines (at least 3 years) with the ability to respond to a variety of creative briefs.
    • Strong portfolio of original work, along with the ability to make creative strategies visible.
    • A craftsperson as well as an ideas person; a Designer who knows what makes good design in all channels.
    • An educated ‘student of brand’ and modern digital communications, coupled with a deep aversion to the obvious.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects in an entrepreneurial atmosphere.
    • Good communication and organisational skills.
    • Self-driven with an interest in where the brand, digital and content industry is heading.
    • 3+ years experience at creative agencies, working on brand identity and integrated campaigns for large and small brands.
